Paddle Wheels & Parrotheads

Well, we left the house around 7:30am yesterday morning and took off for Indy. We arrived around 2:30 EDT and walked downtown. There was a man-made canal that we decided to paddle boat. I think we lost 20 pound each in sweat during that hour! The scenery was awesome and reminded us a lot of San Antonio's river walk.

After paddle boating, we headed to the hotel to get ready for Jimmy Buffett. On our way, we stopped for gas. As I was pumping gas, I heard the click that told me tank was full but the meter kept running. I looked to see if I was still pumping gas by mistake and I was not. About 5 seconds later, Hillary said, "Look!!" and gas was coming out the tank stand. Whoops, on their part. You can see the puddle of gas leaking out onto the cement.

Jimmy Buffett was awesome! We sat on the lawn with about 2/3 of the crowd. Apparently we were the outcasts as we forgot our coconut bras and hula skirts. For a crowd of 50,000 - that was by far the easiest we have ever gotten in or out of a venue with traffic.  Was surprised me was how good the opening band, Third World was. They were a reggae band from Jamaica. I think we found our new boating music for the summer! The amphitheater was packed and I got a sweet panoramic photo. Make sure you click the picture to get the full effect.

Next up..... Cincinnati!
